Book Cover on a Budget

Just playing around, trying to see if I can make a serviceable cover for a short story I plan to give away.

Here's my first attempt. What do you think?


If y'all think it's decent, I'd be happy to share how I did it.

    Well, it could be worse.

    You definitely need a better font. It looks like you're using one of the ones your computer came with, which probably isn't licensed for commercial use. Check out myfonts.com. You can find free commercial fonts and they even deliver your choices packaged in a handy installer.
